Features veteran South Australian guitar and banjo player Johnny Malpas.

Now in his 83rd year, Johnny seems to have been an integral part of the Adelaide jazz scene forever! A foundation member of the Southern Jazz Group, he recorded with them in the pre-Memphis days and continued to record with Adelaide jazz bands right up until the 2000s.

Choosing the material for the CD was extremely difficult with a wealth of selections to go through. The producer had a hand in selecting which would be on the CD, but basically the selection of material was Johnny's.

The first track on the CD is by the Southern Jazz Group. 'Sweet Georgia Brown' was recorded in 1949 and originally issued on Bill Holyoak's Memphis label. The drummer on 'Sweet Georgia Brown' is Kym Bonython. A full listing of the tracks follows:
